750 luxury AC electric buses from GreenCell Mobility’s NewGo brand will ply on intercity & inter-state routes in over 75 cities
GreenCell Mobility has announced its first pan-India inter-city electric bus brand. Called ‘NueGo’, it is India’s first intercity Electric Mobility bus brand with initial plans of having services across 24 cities.

Greencell Mobility will roll out 750 luxury AC electric buses under the NeeGo brand. These will ply on key intercity routes in over 75 cities in South, North and West India. There will be 100 electric coaches in many cities of Madhya Pradesh and 200 vehicles running in Delhi NCR. As per the company, the gross CO2 emission that will be avoided through the usage of these buses over their lifetime would be 56,154 tons while 4,125 new jobs will be created in the company.
GreenCell Mobility has already acquired major state transport undertaking contracts for 900 electric buses across 25 cities in India. By transforming the shared surface transport market in India, GreenCell envisions to become one-of-the-most valued eMaaS (electric mobility as a Service) platform globally. Various Indian state governments have adopted electric buses for intra- as well as intercity shared mobility. This has been further accelerated by the Government of India’s Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles in India (FAME) Phase – II scheme.
