Genesis in India
Hyundai is the second-largest carmaker in India. It has a dominant market share. However, these cars are mostly limited to the mass-market section. But with the all-electric IONIQ 5, Hyundai has ventured into the premium end of the market. The on-road price of the EV is well over Rs 50 lakh. This could very well pave the way for Hyundai to consider bringing the Genesis sub-brand to India in times to come. We shall keep an eye out for that.
