Honda Elevate rivals the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, etc., in our market
In this latest incident, a fully loaded truck ends up falling on a Honda Elevate. Elevate is a mid-size SUV which hasn’t been tested by safety watchdogs like Global NCAP or Bharat NCAP just yet. Hence, we don’t know what the Japanese car is capable of. Having said that, Honda cars generally perform well in such situations. This recent crash also points in that direction. Still, we must not jump to any conclusions based on isolated incidents. For now, let us glance at the details of this case here.
Fully Loaded Truck Topples Over Honda Elevate
The specifics of this undesirable event stem from Raftaar 7811 on YouTube. This channel often features content around road safety and car crashes. On this occasion, a rather shocking case arrives, perhaps from Gujarat (looking at the registration plate of the SUV). The visuals capture a fully loaded truck that has overturned in the middle of the highway onto a Honda Elevate. Now, the details pertaining to how this happened are not out yet.
In any case, we see tons of people standing around the truck and the SUV. What is positively surprising is the fact that the SUV doesn’t seem to be damaged too severely. You would think that the car would’ve crumpled from the side completely. However, that is not the case. The A-pillars seem to have sustained the impact rather well. Also, there are no reports about any injuries to anyone. Now that is a testament to the rugged build quality of the Japanese mid-size SUV. Finally, the reason for this collision is also unknown.
My View
We keep coming across such unfortunate incidents on a daily basis. Mostly, accidents occur due to the failure of drivers to follow traffic regulations. That remains the biggest reason why we lose lakhs of lives on our roads each year. If we want to avoid that, it is time to adhere to the traffic regulations vehemently. Apart from that, we should not judge the build quality of any car based on isolated incidents but rather wait for the official NCAP scores. In any case, this certainly gives us an idea of what to expect.
