Sierra EV is slated to be the next big thing from the Indian automobile giant in our market
The upcoming Tata Sierra EV was recently spotted highway testing. Sierra is the most anticipated SUV from the Indian automobile giant at the moment. We have seen it in near production form at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi in January. To tackle the new-age electric SUVs from Mahindra, Tata Motors is on its way to introducing its pure EVs in the coming time. At present, Tata is the biggest EV player in the country. However, its sales are derived from the vehicles which have been converted from ICE to electric cars. For now, let us take a look at the details.
Tata Sierra EV Highway Testing
We are able to witness the large electric SUV courtesy of Ashish D on YouTube. The visuals capture the heavily camouflaged SUV plying on a busy highway. Despite the covering, we are able to know that this is the new Sierra due to its silhouette and the resemblance with what we saw at the Auto Expo. On the sides, the large alloy wheels and the boxy shape is evident. Also, the sheer size of the SUV confirms that this can’t be any other car. To be honest, the tall boy stance and the side profile also reminds us of the existing Safari and Harrier SUVs. In any case, it will bear an imposing road presence.
Tata Sierra EV
At the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, we got a glimpse of what the final product will look like to a large extent. The front fascia will embody the modern design philosophy. This includes things like a sleek LED light bar running across the width of the front profile culminating into LED DRLs on either side, the main headlamp cluster on the bumper, a sealed off front face, sporty black elements at the front and more. The side profile showcased styling alloy wheels and a rugged appearance. Finally, the tail end featured a slim LED light bar capturing the entire width of the tailgate with Sierra lettering underneath in thin alphabets.
Apart from that, we know that Tata Motors like to equip its products with the latest tech, connectivity and convenience amenities. Hence, the Sierra EV won’t be any different. In addition to high quality materials, the top highlights will include things like:
