Weird Blue Mahindra Thar
The images represent a modified Mahindra Thar finished in a matte blue paint shade. The front grille section and the bumpers have all been wrapped in blue paint. There is an auxiliary light setup and the fog lamps have also been modified. This Thar has massive 21-inch alloy wheels with a 10-spoke design pattern. The front fender also doesn’t sport any black cladding but wears a badge. The side steps are the only black elements to this Thar. The hardtop roof has a blue colour along with the ORVMs. The overall appearance certainly looks more weird and wacky compared to the regular version. The Thar comes with 2 engine options, a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel, and a 2-litre turbo-petrol. The oil-burner makes 130 PS/320 Nm of peak figures while the petrol makes 150 PS/320 Nm of max figures. Transmission options for both the powertrains are a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic with a low range box. You also get a transfer case and a mechanically locking centre differential. The prices of the Thar range between Rs 12.78 lakh and Rs 15.08 lakh, ex-showroom. The only direct rival is the Force Gurkha that has also recently received a new-gen upgrade. The 5-door version of the Mahindra Thar is also in the works.
