Tata Safari has been a prominent product in its segment for a long time now which is why it doesn’t surprise us one bit that even foreigners like it
A video that emerged online over a year ago shows a foreigner test-driving a Tata Safari SUV. Safari is the 7-seater sibling of the Harrier SUV. It gained a lot of traction at the time of its launch a few of years ago in our market. However, with the arrival of new products in the segment, it has not remained at the top for quite some time now. Tata Safari NOT Tested by NCAP
The video has been uploaded by Namastejuli on YouTube. This is a famous vlogging channel of a German-Indian couple who resides in India. Juli is German and married to an Indian man. In this video, the duo is seen going out on the hunt for a new car. They plan to test drive the Safari. Juli calls the Safari the ‘most safest’ car in India. However, that is questionable since the SUV has not undergone an official Global NCAP crash test. Being a rugged SUV doesn’t equate to it being ‘safest’. For that, we must wait for the crash test results. Moreover, it’s funny how people claim a vehicle to be the ‘safest’ just after driving it for a few minutes.

Nevertheless, the couple visits the Tata dealership, where they sit inside the SUV and check out the space and features of the cabin. After that, Juli is also seen driving on the road. This video was made a year ago. Since Harrier didn’t have an automatic at the time, the couple had to test drive Safari, which had the automatic gearbox. Juli doesn’t know how to drive a manual. After they come back home, they reveal that they are waiting for the Mahindra XUV700 which was not launched back then.
