Our sources have confirmed to us that Ford has hiked the prices of most of its cars already. While the dealerships are already using the new prices, Ford has not announced it officially.
Ford India is officially going to hike prices of most of its cars this month itself. Our dealership sources confirm that when the car will be finalized, the buyers will be informed about the hike. The announcement is not official yet but the manufacturer is expected to reveal it anytime soon. Not all cars are affected by this hike.
Dealerships, however, have already started selling the new cars at the updated prices. While reports suggest that the price hike could be of 3% on petrol and diesel cars, our sources suggest that it is a fixed hike. For petrol cars, the prices have increased by Rs 13,500 and for the diesel cars, it is Rs 30,000.
Except Endeavour, the rest of the cars will receive this hike. We are yet to get an updated price list of all the cars, which we will get soon. This price hike is applicable to all variants of Figo, Freestyle, Aspire and EcoSport. There is still some confusion regarding the amount of price hike, but we can confirm its not the 3% scenario.

Regular readers will remember Ford was supposed to hike the prices of new Endeavour in the month of May itself. However, due to the current conditions in our country, the hike has been delayed. Post 31st July, the prices of Endeavour will be increased by Rs 70,000 on all the variants.
Despite getting a BS6 upgrade, the manufacturer reduced the prices of all of its cars. However, that came with a major disadvantage as well. Figo, Freestyle and Aspire lost a lot of features that made it a premium and updated car. Due to this, many potential buyers have also lost interest in the above three cars.
For example, Figo and Aspire now will not get automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, rear seat armrest, Voice Control, automatic AC, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. EcoSport on the other hand got a decent price hike and all the features on it have been retained. Even Endeavour saw a price hike because its engine was downsized to a great extent.

As for Figo and Aspire, both have also lost out on automatic variants. Both the cars came with a 1.5 Litre petrol engine that was exclusively reserved for the automatic gearbox. Freestyle never came with an automatic gearbox. Three entry level cars of Ford not having an automatic gearbox is something that will discourage a lot of buyers.
