Ford’s market share has increased drastically with cars like Ford FIesta sedan and Ford Endeavour SUV, which earlier used to be very less. Ford Endeavour was certainly a huge hit in the Indian automobile market and proved to be an amazing off-roader.
A while back the company also launched the facelifted version of the Endeavour which was not able to retain the charm that the previous model created, but the company aims at regaining the suv market share with a newer and better Endeavour.
The next generation Endeavour is speculated to be based on a car called as Ford Ranger which is popular overseas. The car will be designed by Scott Strong and engineered by Todd Hoevener and his men and is expected to be unveiled by late 2012.

As speculated by analysts, the car will could either sport a 2.2 Litre 4-Cylinder CRDI diesel engine or will come equipped with a 3.1 Litre 5 Cylinder CRDI engine developing a maximum torque of 470Nm and a maximum power of 200BHP.
