Ford stopped manufacturing vehicles in India in September 2021. There has been much concern regarding the aftersales and warranty support for the customers.
In some great news for Ford India customers, the company is recalling the EcoSport for the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) issue as well as extending the warranty support on all its vehicles. The American auto giant has over 1 million customers in India. There was a huge concern about what was going to happen to them after a majority of the Ford dealers shutting up. However, Ford had promised to keep offering service support and spare parts along with a warranty to all its customers for the foreseeable future. Here is a great example of how Ford is trying to fulfil that commitment to Indian customers.

Ford India Extends Warranty Support
According to WhatsApp notifications to some of the customers and the information available on the official website, Ford India is offering extended warranty support for all the Ford cars owners in India. For you to be eligible, the age of your car must not be more than 72 months from the date of the sale and it must have been driven for less than 1,20,000 km. This offer is valid even beyond the Ford’s original/extended warranty that you might have purchased. This is a great way for you to have peace of mind even if your car is relatively old and when the company has stopped manufacturing here altogether. It covers things like manufacturing and material defects, better resales value with transferrable warranty, receiving genuine Ford spare parts and service. This seems to be a great deal where you don’t have to keep worrying about the service and resale value of your Ford vehicle.
