In the latest instance, a Ford Figo owner retells his story of how the vehicle rolled over twice and still managed to keep the occupants safe. Figo used to be a prominent hatchback in the country back in the day. However, it is no longer available after the American giant decided to quit manufacturing cars in India back in September 2021. Still, Ford car owners usually reported cases where their vehicles saved them in terrible situations. This is yet another such case.

Ford Figo Rolls Over Twice
This video comes from Raftaar 7811 on YouTube. It captures the details of this incident. The vlogger mentions a story of a Ford car owner going to the dealership for a regular service. He saw this Figo there and inquired about what had happened with it. The Figo owner tells him that the vehicle had toppled over in a crash. All the airbags were deployed which ensured that the lives of the passengers were saved. That is a testament to the build quality of the vehicle. I feel that having 6 airbags is crucial in such cases which is why some carmakers like Hyundai have made it standard across its entire range.
The damage to the car is evident. Since the car rolled over on the ground multiple times, we see a deformed roof, broken windshield, dented bonnet, slightly affected side profile, destroyed tyre and more. Thankfully, the side pillars were able to absorb the impact and protect the occupants. In such scenarios, the effectiveness of the side pillars and passive safety features is all that really matters.

Author’s Note
I have reported many incidents of Ford cars in the past. In most cases, the build quality of the vehicles has been the deciding factor in determining how severe the consequences are going to be. That is why it is always advisable to invest in cars with high safety ratings and more safety equipment. We hope that people start appreciating the value of owning safer cars and ensure that they follow traffic regulations. That is the only way to enhance road safety.
