Whereas the price of Ford Figo 1.4 Litre Diesel Variant varies between Rs. 4.5 to Rs. 5.55 Lakhs. The price difference in the Diesel version of Volkswagen Polo and Ford Figo is not as high as is between the petrol variants of these hatchback cars.

Considering the above specs, the Volkswagen Polo engine is a clear winner which even being a smaller engine churns out more power and torque compared to the Ford Figo 1.4 Litre Diesel Engine. However the difference is not drastic if you consider in absolute terms, as both of these engines deliver maximum power and torque at almost same RPM levels.

Considering these specs, it looks like the Polo is longer and has slightly larger turning radius. The wheel size is almost same for most variant. The wheelbase of Figo is slightly larger. These cars almost stand same in these specs. These specifications are exactly identical to the petrol variants of these cars.
Comfort Features Comparison Between Volkswagen Polo And Ford Figo
To do a fair analysis, lets not forget these two cars come at a different price bracket, so Volkswagen polo might be having more comfort and luxury features. Again these features will be almost same as for the Petrol versions.

In this context, Ford has an upper hand because of its longer presence in Indian automobile market competed to Volkswagen. This might be an important criteria for you if you are living in sub-urban or rural areas where there are limited number of car service stations. If you live in a metro city of India, it will not be a deciding factor.
Conclusion Of Comparison Between Volkswagen Polo And Ford Figo Diesel Variants
I personally would like to go for Polo, for two reasons, its not very pricey as compared to the Ford Figo and second the power and interior quality of Polo Diesel really impresses me. Also I don’t need to worry much about the service centers as I live in a metro city.
If you don’t have a service center of Volkswagen available near you and are on tight budget, then Ford Figo is a good option for you.
