There are multiple accidents of Ford Figo reported in India, showcasing the strong build quality. Here’s another example of a Figo involved in an accident on Amritsar-Pathankhot highway. It was involved with a Maruti Swift, but unfortunately, its photos are not available right now. We will update the article one we get the photos.
As you can see, the front portion of the Figo has received a significant damage. The bonnet has crumbled and the grille and front bumper has been disfigured. On both the sides, the headlamps have been damaged. The fender has also received a minor damage and lastly, the windscreen has received a big crack.

The owner himself put up this photo and said that the Swift received far more damages. Due to sudden braking of the Swift, this Ford Figo rear ended it. The owner got an estimate of Rs 1 Lakh for all the repairs and since it is covered in insurance, the bill will not come out as big as it is actually.
Despite the heavy damages on the front portion, the body of Figo has managed to limit the impact till there itself. The door panels and even alloy wheels are left unaffected due to this. Ford cars are another example of a strong build quality, heavy duty components and highly reliable engines.
Figo is now BS6 compliant continuing with the same petrol and diesel engines. The 1.5 Litre petrol engine and its paired AT gearbox have been discontinued. So now, it comes with a 1.2 litre three-cylinder petrol engine that is good for 95 PS. The 1.5 Litre diesel engine has been retained and produces 100 PS and 215 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines come mated to a 5-speed MT as standard.

The prices of Figo petrol start at Rs 5.39 Lakhs up to Rs 6.95 Lakhs. The diesel variants are priced from Rs 6.86 Lakhs up to Rs 7.85 Lakhs (all prices ex-showroom). Figo is one of the very few cars in India which saw reduction in its prices post BS6 norms. Many features have been deleted from the Figo, Freestyle and Aspire for them to be cheaper.
