On 4th March 2013 in Delhi, Ford India is celebrating third birthday of the car which changed the fortunes of the company. Its none other than the small wonder Ford Figo which has made its place in the hearts of many buyers and on Indian roads will no-nonsense features and practical offerings when it comes to variants and pricing. On this special occasion when the Figo Turns 3, company has launched a limited edition Ford Figo Celebration Edition which comes with a host of special features to mark the celebrations of this special landmark for Ford India. The Figo Celebration edition is priced at Rs. 4.16 Lakhs for the petrol version and Rs. 5.16 Lakhs diesel variant (both prices ex-showroom Delhi). It comes with special body graphics and is available only in the Diamond White colour option only.
In India, Figo comes with both petrol and diesel engine options and it is exported to many international markets from India only. Figo is well known for its superior handling, large interior space and robust and frugal engines which make it a value for money buy in a price sensitive market like India. Ford has refreshed the Figo in October 2012 with minor changes to Ford Figo 2012 new model. These changes include improved styling on front at rear, improved engine tuning, some new features and better aesthetic appeal. The special edition has been designed by renowned designers Shantanu and Nikhil.
Talking a little bit about the engine and power ratings of Figo, it gets a 1.2 Litre duratec petrol engine which delivers a peal power of 70 BHP and a peak torque of 102 Nm. The 1.4 litre Duratorq diesel unit returns 69 BHP of peak power and 160 Nm of torque.
The Figo comes equipped with features like Airbags and ABS for safety. AC, power steering and power windows for comfort. It has low NVH levels on the refresh 2012 models.
