Ford Figo Automatic and Aspire Automatic have reportedly been taken out of the market. Both the ATs were mated to the 1.5 petrol engine.
Ahead of BS6 norms, Ford has started discontinuing its engines and some variants as well. The next one to go down the line is the Ford Figo and Aspire Automatic, which are already taken out from the inventory.
Ford Figo Automatic and Aspire Automatic came with the 1.5 Litre petrol engine. The engine was capable of producing 123 PS and 150 Nm of peak torque. The manual variants of Figo and Aspire come with the 96 PS producing 1.2 Litre petrol engine.
There is no word on when will the Aspire and Figo get automatic variants. It could be paired up with the current 1.2 Litre petrol engine or the 1.5 Litre diesel engine. The oil-burner is capable of producing 100 PS and 215 Nm of peak torque.

Ford has also discontinued the Absolute Black colour option from the Freestyle, Figo and Aspire. The latter now also lose out the Deep Impact Blue colour option. All these measures are taken as Ford wants to cut down on its costs and these colours/variants are not generating enough sales.
Ford Figo and Aspire are known for their reliability, punchy engines and low maintenance. However, they are in the market which is overcrowded by every other brand. Despite having a decent features list as well, its sales do not manage to pick up well.
Similarly, Ford has also discontinued the EcoSport Ecoboost engine. Its lovable 1.0 Litre turbo-petrol engine was proving costly to upgrade. Later, Ford will replace this engine with a 1.2 Litre turbo-petrol engine from the XUV 300.
