Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour are at loggerheads for more than 10 years. Here’s a tug of war between them to know which one is more powerful.
Ford Endeavour was launched in the early 2000s and became an instant hit. The first version that came was very capable, comfortable and off-road specalist as well. Later, Toyota bought in the Fortuner which was squared straight at the Endy in the premium SUV segment. Now, after a decade more stint, both are still are heavy loggerheads.
Both of them are equally capable and powerful as well. However, here’s a tug of war between them so as to see which one is the more powerful of both. Their power and torque figures are similar, not the same. There are many versions of tug of war, but here, one car will accelerate while the other will apply brakes at full.

First up is the Toyota Fortuner which is the 4WD variant. Despite it applying full power and having a wheelspin, it is not at all able to move the Endeavour off its foot. You can also hear the consistent wheel screech which shows how much the Fortuner is trying hard. After a couple of seconds, it gives up only for Endy to take its chance.
Even the Endeavour is the 4WD variant. In just a couple of seconds, it manages to pull the other SUV to its side. Fortuner even tries accelerating in the between just to see any change in the result but still does not manage to stop. Now, we probably have an idea, which one could come off as more powerful.
However, there’s a catch here. While Fortuner retains the same 2.8 Litre turbo diesel engine post the BS6 era, Endeavour does not. The one that we see here is the 3.2 Litre diesel engine which is no longer available. Instead, it now gets a 2.0 Litre turbo diesel engine that is good for 170 PS and 420 Nm of peak torque.
