Ford Endeavour has become Rs 3 lakh costlier than Toyota Fortuner in India. Ford has discontinued the base Titanium 4×2 trim from its lineup. This means that the entry-level trim on sale is the Titanium+ 4×2 AT trim which costs Rs 33.80 lakh, ex-showroom. This could be due to the lack of demand for the base variant. Generally, customers looking for a full-size premium 7-seat SUV in the bracket of over Rs 30 lakh, don’t want the SUV to come with just the basic features. There might not have been enough demand for this variant as a result. On the other hand, Toyota Fortuner starts at Rs 30.34 lakh, ex-showroom making the Endy a fair bit more expensive than the direct rival. What does this mean for the feature list and powertrain options, let us find out?
