A few weeks backs we had reported that Ford was planning to launch an updated EcoSport soon with a touchscreen infotainment system. And Ford has done just that. However, instead of adding the new features to the top end trim, Ford has launched an altogether new variant called the Ford EcoSport Platinum Edition. It is available with either a 1.0 L EcoBoost petrol or a 1.5 L Diesel. Prices start at Rs. 10.39 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Read on to know more about the new Ford EcoSport Platinum Edition.

Since the Platinum Edition is based on the Titanium+ trim, only the 1.0 L EcoBoost and 1.5 L Diesel engine options are offered. Both engines get a 5-speed manual transmission.

According to official ARAI figures, the EcoSport with the 1.0 L petrol returns 18.9 KMPL overall. While the diesel EcoSport boasts an overall fuel efficiency rating of 22.7 KMPL.
At the Los Angeles Motor Show late last year, the new 2017 Ford EcoSport made its international debut. In India, the new 2017 model will arrive by the festive season this year. The new EcoSport gets a more comprehensive makeover with a fresh new face, and new dashboard design.
