The Skoda Kushaq owner reveals he initially considered a Mahindra XUV700, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and VW Taigun. In fact, he was among the first 25,000 people to have booked the new XUV but later, the estimated delivery time of July 2022 put him off. He then dropped the idea of picking a Creta or a Seltos as he is not a big of Korean cars in spite of offering the best VFM. Finally, he booked a VW Taigun Highline variant. However, somehow, he couldn’t accept the looks of the vehicle as it looked more car-ish than an SUV. He felt the front looked like it belonged to a Polo and even the backside didn’t appeal to him. So, finally, he went for the Kushaq due to the mini-Karoq looks.

While he was still contemplating if switching to the Kushaq would be a good idea, a dealer in Kochi offered him a meaty discount of INR 65,000. Finally, booked an Ambition MT 1.0 TSI variant in Carbon Steel colour. In the words of the owner, the “Kushaq feels like a worthy upgrade with similar qualities” in terms of dynamics. He also says that the car feels very stable and the brakes are good, too. He’s also happy with the features like the audio system, ambient light, projector headlights, etc. However, he does feel the ORVMs should have been a bit bigger and the touch controls for aircon aren’t very intuitive. Even the Jio dongle doesn’t work.
