The 2018 Auto Expo is an event that almost every car and bike aficionado of the country is waiting for. The 2018 edition of the Delhi motor show is several months away from us, but this hasn’t kept many speculations on the upcoming new car and bike launches and unveils from pouring in. We have already put together a list of new cars that will greet us at the upcoming Auto Expo. Here, in this post, we have decided to narrow down to the new launches and unveiling by the Indian subsidiary of the popular American car giant – Ford Motor Co. True, we haven’t yet received a final word from Ford on its expo line-up of cars. However, our list of Ford cars at Auto Expo 2018 here will give you an idea of what we can expect from Ford at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo.

Ford Cars at Auto Expo 2018
Ford Figo Facelift

Ford India plans to launch an updated version of the Figo?. The new 2018 Ford Figo facelift will debut at the Auto Expo 2018. It will have a new 1.2-litre petrol engine that will offer better performance and higher mileage. The car will also have a fresher exterior and more features for the interior. Prices of the car could start at Rs 5.2 lakh and go all the way to Rs 7.6 lakh. The 1.5-litre Petrol and 1.5-litre Diesel engines will be carried forward unchanged. The Figo facelift will probably be successful in helping Ford India establish a stronger foothold in the very competitive lower B-segment of Indian car market.
Ford Aspire Facelift

Ford India is also likely to launch the new Aspire facelift in India. It will also have an updated exterior, better-equipped interior and the new 1.2-litre Petrol engine. Thanks to these updates, the car might get a slight price rise but we feel that the increase in the price will be justified. The Aspire sedan hasn’t exactly set sales charts on fire and now, the updated car might become a worthier rival to the likes of Maruti Dzire and Hyundai Xcent.
Ford Figo Cross

Already on sale in Brazil as the Ford Ka Trail, the Figo Cross is nothing but a slightly rugged version of the regular B-segment Ford hatchback. Basically, the Figo Cross will be to its donor model what the Etios Cross is to the regular Etios. Validating this car’s ruggedness credentials are bits like body cladding, larger wheels and a higher ground clearance. Other than this, the car will also get a touchscreen infotainment system. Most importantly, the new car will come with the new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Dragon-series Petrol engine. This engine will even replace the current 1.2-litre 4-cylinder engine that comes with the Figo and the Aspire. We’re expecting a May 2018 launch date. Prices of the Ford Figo Cross in India are expected to start at Rs 5.3 lakh and go all the way to Rs 8.6 lakh.
Kuga SUV

While the EcoSport is about to get a facelift, the manufacturer might launch another small SUV to strengthen its position in the small SUV segments with the Kuga small SUV. The Kuga is a globally successful model that will be slotted between the EcoSport and the Endeavour. The Kuga will go on to rival the top-end variants of the Hyundai Creta at one end, and the base- and mid-level variants of the Jeep Compass at the other. We expect a mid-2018 India launch date.
2018 Ford Mustang GT

The Ford Mustang is certainly the best halo car any car manufacturer in India can have. And at the 2018 Expo, this iconic muscle car will be present in its updated avatar. It will also mark the debut of the Mustang facelift in India. Prices are expected to start at Rs 70 lakh and the new 2018 Mustang will probably launch in the first half of next year. The Mustang facelift boasts several styling and mechanical updates along with an all-new 10-speed automatic transmission. The updated Mustang will be available in two engine options- 2.3 L EcoBoost and 5.0 L V8. We are not too sure but Ford might even decide to bring the Mustang convertible to India. The drop-top Mustang is one really cool car that we so need to have here, no?

Ford is likely to showcase the 2018 Fiesta hatchback at the Auto Expo 2018. While India launch prospects look bleak, we are hoping to get a sedan based on this hatchback. Hence, it’s a pretty good idea to exhibit this car at the next edition of country’s largest auto show and note the response from the show-goers. Who knows, with the popularity of larger hatchbacks on the rise, Ford India might ultimately decide to even bring the hatchback version to our shores.
