Incidents on roads reveal the real-life build quality of vehicles and this is one such case.
In this video, a Force Trax passenger carrier tests the build quality of the Tata Nexon compact SUV. Now, we all know that the Nexon boasts a full 5-star GNCAP safety rating. That is one of the major reasons why it is consistently featuring at the top of the highest-selling compact SUVs in the country for a long time. On the other hand, the barebones Force Trax has been used extensively in the semi-urban and rural environments to carry large number of people around. However, it has not been crash-tested yet.

The video has been uploaded by Nikhil Rana on his YouTube channel. He regularly keeps posting such videos in order to raise awareness among Indian car buyers regarding the importance of opting for cars with higher safety ratings. This video has been reported from Jalna, Maharashtra. As per the detail mentioned in the video, Trax must’ve stopped suddenly on a speed breaker when the Nexon hit it from behind. It seems that the driver of Nexon was not prepared for the sudden braking and lost control.

As a result, the rod installed at the back of the Trax caused damage to the front fascia of the Nexon. The visuals show that the front bumper, bonnet, headlamps, etc are quite heavily damaged. On the other hand, there is barely any damage to the Trax. It must be noted that the impact became severe due to that iron rod. Also, the body of Trax doesn’t have too many plastic components, while the bumper and fender areas of the Nexon might have plastic in them which is why there was a lot of damage. Thankfully, no one was injured in this unlucky event.

Finally, incidents like these are a great way to demonstrate the ill effects of careless driving and overspeeding. One must always strive to drive within the speed limits and follow all the traffic rules. Overspeeding continues to be the most common reason for unfortunate incidents on the road. This particular case also looks like it was caused because the Nexon owner might have been driving at high speed too close to the Trax. Had the driver been within the speed limit, he would’ve been able to control his SUV.
