Force Motors recently launched its much awaited Force One SUV which has turned a lot heads because of its much affordable price tag. The car has enough features to compete against any other SUV from the same class and even cars which are above its class, pushing the manufacturer directly into a race with the market leaders.
So now that the SUV is out, the company now is working on other plans which will possibly make the brand much more noticeable in the market than it is now. One f the upcoming news says that the company is soon going to introduce another version of the Force One which will come equipped with a permanent four wheel drive system and ABS with EBD.
But this isn’t the interesting news as more importantly is going to install a new assembly line at its Pithampur plant for an all new MPV which will be based on the very popular Mercedes Viano. The new vehicle will derive most of its characteristics from the Viano but interestingly will come at a much lesser price. Expecting the launch to be in early 2013, the car will emerge as a great option for tour and travel agencies and also family persons who wish to own a car, which would be low on budget yet complete enough to be taken on interstate journeys.
The global Viano comes with a 2.2 Liter CRDI diesel engine which is the same that comes fitted in the Force One SUV. So the company has the powertrain, and is now also going to build an India specific Viano which to me is a sensible idea as with the same the company will enter the premium car market and will also build a stronger portfolio.
