YouTubers often adopt the method of tug of war to compare the brute force of two vehicles
In this post, we shall take a look at the details of the first-ever Force Gurkha vs Toyota Fortuner Legender tug of war. Tug of war is a technique used to analyse the power of two vehicles. However, I must caution our readers to never do it with your own car. More on that later. Gurkha is a rugged off-roader which offers a barebones interior but impressive off-roading capabilities. People seeking off-tarmac dominance at affordable prices opt for it. On the other hand, the Fortuner Legender is a 7-seat premium off-roading SUV. It possesses an imposing road presence. Let us take a look at this tug of war to know who comes out on top.
Force Gurkha vs Toyota Fortuner Legender Tug of War
The specifics of this case stem from Varun Vashisht on YouTube. The vlogger has the two vehicles with him. There are a lot of people around to watch this unique competition. They securely tie the two vehicles from the rear ends. Interestingly, they deflated the rear tyre of the Fortuner slightly to ensure that there is enough traction. On the count of three, the two SUVs accelerate hard. However, the Gurkha was clearly able to pull the Legender quite fiercely. Thereafter, the Fortuner driver applied brakes and asked the Gurkha driver to try and pull it. Again, the Gurkha moved the Fortuner from its place. This video serves as a great example to demonstrate the prowess and capabilities of the Gurkha.
Specs Comparison
It is fascinating to see the sheer difference between the specifications of these two vehicles. The Force Gurkha has a Mercedes-derived 2.6-litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel mill generating 91 hp and 250 Nm of peak power and torque. This is because it is the old model. This engine pairs with a 5-speed manual transmission with 4×4 configuration. On the other hand, this Toyota Fortuner Legender boasts aย 2.8-litre turbo-diesel engine which produces 201 hp and 420 Nm of peak power and torque (500 Nm with automatic transmission). There is a sole 6-speed automatic transmission with the Legender.

My View
Tug of war can bear harmful aftermath on your vehicles. Note that cars are not meant to be driven in this manner. Pulling each other puts unnecessary stress on the engine components. In fact, we have seen in the past that vehicles have had smoke coming out of the engines after persistent tug of war events. Hence, I would recommend our readers to stay away from such stunts. Let us pledge to be responsible drivers and take care of the health of our vehicles.
