The new and updated Suzuki Gixxer 155 has been launched in India. It continues with the naked street styling buts looks a lot more aggressive now.
Suzuki has updated its best-selling motorcycle for the Indian market. The new Suzuki Gixxer 155 now gets revised styling, which makes it look sportier than ever and also some new features as well.
The new Suzuki Gixxer 155 gets some design bits from the recently updated Gixxer SF. The naked motorcycle is one of the most popular models in its 150-160cc sporty commuter segment.
With new increased prices and better styling, the new Suzuki Gixxer 155 is expected to increase its declining sales to some extent. Here are five highlights of the newly updated motorcycle.

1. New Styling
The new Suzuki Gixxer 155 dons the same naked street silhouette. The fuel tank and tank shrouds have been revised to give a more muscular as well as chiselled look. Newly shaped headlamps come onboard, with LED lighting. The front portion looks completely different now. The tail section also undergoes some changes to retain its overall sporty look.
2. New Features
There are some minor feature additions onboard, including full LED headlamps and tail lamp and a revised digital console, from the Gixxer SF. The instrument console shows information such as trip meter, odometer, the riding range, fuel indicator and RPM meter.
3. Fuel Injected Engine
Suzuki has made the Gixxer future ready, as it gets fuel injection system. The engine remains BS-4 compliant, but the inclusion of FI with help it in the compliance of the norms. The 155cc air-cooled SOHC engine now produces 14.1 BHP at 8000 RPM and 14 NM of torque at 6000 RPM. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox, as earlier.

4. Revised Dimensions
The new Gixxer is a bit wider by 15mm but a bit shorter by 30mm. The seat height has been increased by 15mm along with a 5mm longer wheelbase now. Earlier, it used to weight around 140 kgs but now goes 4 kgs heavier, at 144 kgs.
5. Prices
Including all these updated, the new Gixxer gets a price hike of nearly Rs 12,000. The outgoing Gixxer ABS is priced at Rs 88.941. The new Gixxer goes for Rs 1 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi prices). It continues to compete against the likes of TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Honda CB Hornet 160R, Yamaha FZ V3, Pulsar NS160 and Hero Xtreme 200R.
