Seltos is a prominent product in Kia’s India lineup which has contributed immensely toward making it the most successful foreign carmaker in terms of record sales (over 8 lakh) in record time (under 4 years).
The first-ever RHD version of the Kia Seltos facelift will launch in India on July 4, 2023. Digital automobile artist has rendered a riveting version of the mid-size SUV. Note that the Seltos facelift is already available in many international markets, but these are for LHD nations. Nonetheless, we can expect the design to be carried over to the Indian model too. Australia will most likely get this model after India. This digital artist has taken inspiration from the international model and illustrated it quite convincingly. Here are the details.

Kia Seltos Facelift for India
This digital model has been conceptualized by Bagrawala Designs on YouTube. The artist has put a lot of attention into designing the details of the SUV. At the front, the overall pattern remains similar to the existing model but there are some distinct alterations. This includes things like a tweaked LED headlamp setup, LED turn indicators underneath it, a redesigned front grille with chrome elements that bear a new layout, a rugged skid plate, vertical LED fog lamps much like in the existing model and a sporty bumper.

On the sides, one gets greeted by an elegant profile with a stylish new alloy wheel pattern, black side pillars, a rising window line toward the rear, functional roof rails, sturdy side body cladding and prominent wheel arches. At the rear, there is a significant modification to the profile distinguishing it from the existing model. There are LED taillamps on the sides of the boot lid that are connected by a sleek LED light bar that runs across the width of the tailgate with a Kia logo at the centre. Down below, the bumper has contours on the sides making it look quite aggressive, while the central area has a solid skid plate accentuating the imposing road presence.

Specs
Kia Seltos facelift will most likely carry forward the existing powertrain options with the addition of a new Verna-sourced mill. This means that we will see a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo diesel and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol mill developing 115 PS / 144 Nm, 115 PS / 250 Nm and 160 PS / 253 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. Depending on the powertrain, one could also choose from a 6-speed manual, a CVT automatic and a sporty DCT automatic transmission. Currently, the prices range from Rs 10.89 lakh to Rs 19.65 lakh, ex-showroom. The facelift might command a slight premium over these.

The competition in the mid-size SUV segment in India is at an all-time high. We have products like the mighty Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, VW Taigun, MG Astor and Skoda Kushaq. With such intense rivals, Kia needs to put its best foot forward to retain its impressive sales. It already has a large customer base and in order to keep them engaged and excited, the facelift model will come with new styling and some additional features. Let us wait till July 4 to see the exact amenities it will come equipped with.
