Fiat, an Italy based firm is one of the largest vehicle manufacturers with its contribution in some of the most essential fields including production of automobiles, aircrafts, motorcycles, agricultural & construction equipments etc and also owns some of the world’s most renowned brands like Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Lancia & Maserati.
Although for the Indian automobile industry the brand initially could not offer much but over a period of time, the brand has come out with some interesting cars like the Fiat Grande Punto and Fiat Linea, which eventually made the brand popular in the market.
Later Fiat had to tie-up with our very own Tatas owing to problems with its establishment in the Industry, but now the brand has considered thinking over it again. The brand will soon be opening exclusive showrooms of its own for establishing a better connection with its customers.
Main reason for this step is seen to be the ignorance of Tata towards selling Fiat cars and offering after sales service. The former is busy with concentrating on its marketing strategies and to an extent has kept the latter on one side. To boost the lagging sales figures, Fiat will soon be inaugurating these boutique stores in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Pune.
However the after sales services and support will still remain in Tata’s hands. We wish to see the brand make progress with its new strategy.
