The Geneva Motor Show is one of the best auto shows at the international level and every year we look up to it. This year would be no exception and in March we will see some great new products from manufacturers around the world. Ferrari has always offered great products and every year it does something different.
This year the Italian company will showcase a revised model of the softest car of the line-up, the Ferrari California, and it is called as Ferrari California Handling Speciale. So what is new in the Handling Speciale edition?

Well the 2012 revision of California gets more power and weighs less. The company will also offer a special handling package, Handling Speciale, that will sharpen the chassis and make it more responsive.
The 4.3 litre V8 engine comes with new exhaust manifolds and revised engine mapping. This has increased the power output from previous 453 BHP to 483 BHP now. Similarly the torque has also been improved to 503 Nm from the previous 484 Nm at the same 5000 RPM.

Ferrari has managed to reduce the weight of the car by 30 kg but it has no effect on the overall rigidity, thanks to the new construction and fabrication techniques. Now that the car is more powerful the 0-100 km/h sprint is now completed in a more impressive 3.8 seconds.
The new handling package has stiffer springs, magneto-rheological dampers along with a 50 percent fast ECU and an all new steering box which is 10 percent more responsive at turns.
The price of the car is yet to be announced and the Indian launch is definitely not confirmed yet. So you guys stay tuned for more updates on the same. Do sign up for our free email newsletter for latest updates on Ferrari.
