The launch of Kia Sonet is just around the corner as the compact SUV is set to take the market by a storm. The bookings are ongoing and all the details except the price has been revealed. Here is a detailed walkaround video of the Sonet HTK+ variant which might be the mid-spec trim but comes with many premium features.
On the outside, Sonet HTK+ variant gets projector fog lamps, halogen headlamps, front and rear skid plate, electric ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, roof rails and a shark fin antenna. Here, you get 16-inch steel wheels with a wheelcap as standard fitment. From the HTX variant, alloy wheels will be available.

On the inside, this variant gets black leather seats with white stitching. Further leather stitching can also be seen on the steering wheel and gear knob. It also gets steering mounted audio, phone and cruise controls along with automatic AC, driver seat height adjustment, a smaller 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, driver rearview monitor, rear parking camera and wireless phone charger.
On the safety front, it will get dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, rear parking camera and an emergency stop signal. Compared to the HTX+ variant, some convenience features and the internet car technology is missing. Safety features, however, are the same for both the variants.
With buyers ready to compromise on the alloy wheels, LED headlamps and its highlighted 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system, HTK+ variant seems like a total VFM product. This variant will be available with 1.5 Litre diesel engine, 1.0 Litre turbo petrol engine and the 1.2 Litre petrol engine as well.

The diesel engine will be paired with a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT. The turbo petrol engine will also be available in two transmission options – 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT. Interestingly, in the Tech Line, this is the only variant to get all the engines and gearbox options. That also includes the turbo-DCT combination.
