Maruti Suzuki has finally released details regarding the new Super Carry LCV. The Maruti Suzuki Super Carry LCV has gone on sale with a 793 cc diesel mill. Maruti’s Super Carry will rival the likes of the Tata Ace and Mahindra Supro and Jeeto. It costs INR 4,01,100 (ex-showroom, Ludhiana). Maruti Super Carry Price
Maruti has announced that the Super Carry has gone on sale in Gujarat. Initially, it will be sold only in Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Ludhiana. Maruti will have to develop a CNG powered variant for markets like Delhi. It will be sold through a separate channel for commercial vehicles.

Outlining the attributes of the Super Carry, Mr R.S Kalsi, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki said, “Super Carry is designed and developed basis detailed research and understanding of customer requirements. It offers best of both the worlds –power and strength as well as carrying capacity. We are confident Super Carry will enhance the profitability of our customers.”
He added, “Super Carry will be initially available for sale in three cities: Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Ludhiana. It will be retailed through a dedicated ‘Commercial’ sales channel.”

But in a market comprising of already established leaders in Tata Ace, Mahindra Maxximo and Ashok Leyland Dost, given the lack of experience on Maruti’s part, it may be some time before Super Carry may actually start selling a profitable number of units.
The diesel engine powering the Super Carry could find its way into the Eeco and Omni in the near future. The implementation of the diesel engine in the Eeco could improve its popularity among taxi owners, it is a popular vehicle in those cities where CNG is mandatory for commercial vehicles.
