In an official press release, Toyota India today informed the media that it has successfully delivered about 20,000 Toyota Etios Sedans and the launch of its hatchback Toyota Etios Liva is on track. With aggressive efforts of Toyota India, the waiting time for the Etios sedan has some down to less than one month. The Etios Liva will be launched in New Delhi, India on 27th June 2011. The Toyota Etios Liva will be a high value for money car just like its sedan version Etios. There is no official word on the pricing as yet, but we expect that the Etios Liva will be priced close to Rs. 4 Lakh for the base variant which will make it one of the most Value For Money car in its segment. It will be a direct competition with cars like Hyundai i10, Maruti Swift, Maruti Ritz, Upcoming Honda Brio and other small car in India.

The Etios Liva will be Toyota’s foray into the highly popular premium hatchback segment. Stylishly designed for today’s youth, Etios Liva will be competitively priced and will offer functionality and value for money. Keeping the target customer in mind a slew of youthful and fun filled activities have been lined up as a part of the marketing campaign. The show stopper is the TV ad campaign, which will feature music composed by the music maestro A.R.Rahman.
The concept vehicles of the Etios and Etios Liva were first unveiled at the Auto Expo last year in Delhi , creating a lot of buzz, and later traveled across the country with the ‘Toyota Q-World’ reaching out to more than 1 lakh prospective customers.
Sandeep Singh, DMD Marketing, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said: “We are very happy to announce our entry into the popular premium hatchback segment with the Etios Liva. The Etios has been very well received by our customers across the market. We have delivered more than 20,000 cars as on date. We have successfully reduced the waiting period to less than 1 month by undertaking necessary steps to increase the production. We look forward to a good response for the Etios Liva. Details will be announced at the time of the launch.”
