BMW has re-introduced the entry-level 320d Sport variant of the 3-Series in India for a price of Rs 42.10 lakh. It was discontinued earlier this year but is now back and is Rs 5.4 lakh cheaper than the 320d Luxury Line.
BMW has quietly brought back the entry-level diesel variant of the 3-Series sedan in India – the 320d Sport. The BMW 320d Sport was discontinued earlier in the year around March 2020 but has now been relaunched for a price of Rs 42.10 lakh (ex-showroom, India). This entry level variant is now Rs 5.4 lakh more affordable than 320d Luxury Line. In terms of equipment, the 320d Sport variant is equivalent with the entry-level petrol 330i Sport variant.
The BMW 320d Sport is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 190bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque. As usual, the engine comes mated to an 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox. BMW claims that the 320d Sport can sprint from naught to 100kph in just 6.8 seconds. That’s plenty fast for an entry-level luxury sedan. In terms of exterior design, the 320d Sport uses a little less chrome than the 320d Luxury Line and it also gets new sportier designs for the alloy wheels.
It is on the inside where the 320d Sport misses out on some features that’s offered on the more expensive 320d luxury line. These features include the larger 10.25-inch touchscreen, ambient interior lighting, Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument screen, and hands-free parking as well. We already mentioned that the equipment list on the 320d Sport is identical to that of the 330i Sport, but while the latter gets an M-Sport steering wheel, the latter does not.

In terms of safety, the 320d Sport gets six airbags, ABS, ESC, traction control, a rear-view camera, front and rear parking sensors and a tyre-pressure monitoring system.
