Tata has launched the extended-range electric Tigor, which now offers 213 kms, as claimed by ARAI. The price now starts at Rs 9.44 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
The electric Tata Tigor now comes with a 213 kms driving range instead of its earlier 142 kms range. Following the public demand, Tata has finally increased the range, which should be around 150-160 kms in real-world driving conditions.
The electric Tata Tigor is offered in three variants – XE+, XM+ and XT+. The prices start off at Rs 9.44 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi), after deducting government subsidies. The prices in Delhi started off at Rs. 9.17 Lakhs, earlier.
The new electric Tigor will come with two driving modes – Drive and Sport. The latter mode will offer a higher top speed, better acceleration, but a slightly lower driving range.

On the exterior, it comes with Signature EV decals, premium front grille, stylish alloys, shark-fin antenna and LED high mounted lamp. Inside the cabin, you get Classic black and grey interiors, immersive sound experience by Harman, Single-speed gearbox and height-adjustable seat.
The EV is offered in three colour options – Pearlescent white, Egyptian blue and Roman silver. Additionally, it comes with twin-pod analogue console with MID, two charging ports, dual-front airbags and ABS with EBD.
On the EV, you get a 21.5 kWh battery pack, which offers a higher range. It continues with the 72V 3-Phase AC induction motor, that produces 30 kW (40 BHP) and 105 Nm of peak torque.

As told, the electric Tigor comes with the normal AC charger as well as a fast DC charger. Normally, the EV takes around 6 hours to be charged from 0-80%, but with the fast charger, it will take just 90 mins. The top-speed achievable in 80 km/hr.
The vehicle also comes with an inbuilt warranty of 3 years or 1.25 lakh kms, whichever is earlier. The Tigor EV is available across 30 cities in India, and most of the major cities also have more than one charging stations.
