Disappointing incidents are a part of the daily commute and sometimes you can’t help but feel sorry for people who are at the receiving end of them.
In a sad incident, an e-rickshaw turns over on the road due to a pothole while it was trying to give way to the VIP cars that were coming from the opposite direction on a narrow street. Now, we know the condition of the roads in our country. Apart from the few prominent highways, the other roads are in terrible shape. It is more so during and after the monsoon season. The potholes could be as large as the size of an entire small car! Hence, we have to exercise precaution.

E-Rickshaw Turns Over Due To Pothole
The video has been shared by Decode Trend on YouTube. As per the information in the video, this incident has been reported from Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh. It clearly shows the condition of the road. There are two massive water-filled potholes on the narrow road. It looks like a road in the city considering the condition and the locality in the background. Suddenly, an entourage of VIP officials is seen coming from one side and an auto-rickshaw from the opposite side.

Due to the potholes, the rickshaw had to slow down. However, the Toyota Innova Crysta of the VIP didn’t bother to stop. As a result, the rickshaw ended up falling into the pothole due to the colossal size of it. It toppled over with passengers inside it. The rickshaw fell into the water-filled road. The passengers somehow managed to stay up on their feet and exit the rickshaw safely. Shockingly, no one from the entourage bothered to stop and check on them.

They are the authorities that are responsible for public welfare and administration. There was also a Police car in the convoy. Each car moved past the rickshaw despite seeing it struggling on the road. The people around the area came forward to help and luckily, no one was injured in this incident. We can only hope that the condition of the roads is improved so that such incidents don’t happen in the first place. Regarding the people in administration and power, we can’t really do much about them. We are curious to know what you think of this incident.
