Officials have confirmed that a Ducati naked streetfighter is under development. It will be based on the Panigale V4 superbike.
At the 2019 Geneva International Motorshow, Ducati showcased the Diavel 1260S. Then, the company’s CEO, Claudio Domenicali confirmed to the international media that the Streetfighter V4 is under works.
The CEO has stated that it will be there as soon as possible. Till now, a concept of the Naked Streetfighter has not been shown yet. We expect it to be showcased at the 2019 EICMA.
Ducati Panigale V4 is one of the most premium offering from the brand, with prices starting from Rs 20.53 Lakhs going up to Rs 51.87 Lakhs (prices ex-showroom) for the V4 R variant.

The engine onboard is expected to be taken from the Panigale V4, but with lesser power figures. The exact details will be available when it is showcased as a concept version.
The superbike uses a Moto-GP derived Desmosedici 4-cylinder 1103cc engine, that is capable of producing 214 BHP at 13000 RPM and 124 Nm at 10000 RPM. These figures are the closest that you can get to a Moto GP bike.
Ducati Panigale is equipped with a 6-speed gearbox with quick shifter. It is offered with three riding modes – Street, Sport and Race.

We expect the same riding modes to be offered with the Ducati naked streetfighter. Other features onboard will include Traction Control, Wheelie Control, Slide Control and Engine Brake Control.
For safety purposes, it further gets Bosch Cornering ABS and Auto Tyre Calibration along with the above mentioned features. The feature list between both the bikes will most likely remain identical.
Since it is under development process, we expect the production version ready in a year or two, by 2021. However, testing on roads might begun by the end of this year itself.
