It is becoming increasingly common for imported products to land up at various parts of the country.
This image shows an imported GMC Sierra SUV in Kashmir. The details of this vehicle are not available but this is not the first time we have seen this. In fact, we had recently reported such exotic vehicles, primarily from Dubai that have been imported into the country. However, these have mostly been spotted in South India. This is arguably the first instance of such a vehicle seen in the northern part of the country. Let us check out the details.

Imported GMC Sierra SUV in Kashmir
As per the caption in the image, this SUV has been imported from Dubai as suggested by the numberplate. The SUV is white in colour with its massive road presence. It is possible to import such cars from anywhere in the world using the ATA Carnet Passport. The countries that follow the ATA policy allow the import and export of vehicles for a period of 1 year to and from any country. Under this, any non-perishable item could be exported or imported without paying the tax for a period of 1 year. We suspect this is the same model that we reported earlier which was seen in Bengaluru.
