Speculations suggested that the Katana might be launched in India, but Suzuki has cleared that it is just a promotion for the big bikes. Instead, Suzuki is going to bring new entry-level premium motorcycles with 250cc engines.
Back in the 80s and 90s, Suzuki Katana was an uber-cool semi-faired roadster, which looked completely out of the box. It was one of the most popular motorcycles in the world at that time.
Suzuki recently bought the Katana back into life with a 1000cc inline 4-cylinder engine and styling inspired by the original Katana. But it will only be available for the Japanese, American and European markets and not for India.
Katana comes with a semi-fairing, a single step-up seat and a high-set single-piece handlebar. It is basically capable of long tours as well as the city runs. It has not been launched worldwide as of now but is set to hit the markets in November.
