There are very few BS4 hatchbacks left in the market and those left, are being offered with heavy discounts of up to Rs 90,000.
Most of the hatchbacks in the market have already received the BS6 treatment. Datsun and Nissan cars are lagging the most, with none of their cars being BS6 compliant. So, now’s the time if you want to buy their cars at heavy discounts.
As you can see, there is Rs 70,000 cash discount and Rs 20,000 exchange bonus on Micra BS4. As for Redi GO, it gets Rs 50,000 cash benefit and Rs 30,000 exchange bonus. The same offer is applicable on Datsun GO and Go Plus.
Kwid BS6 has already been launched in India, however, there are some units of the pre-facelift BS4 version left. On the Kwid BS4, there is Rs 50,000 cash discount plus 4-year warranty plus 4 years RSA and Rs 10,000 exchange bonus offered.

Next in line is the BS4 Elite i20, both in petrol and diesel trims. The petrol variants have just received the BS6 treatment but BS6 diesel will come with the new generation i20. On variants like Sportz and Asta, you can get Rs 50,000 cash discount from the dealer with some exchange bonus and Rs 5,000 as a corporate discount.
Hyundai has silently launched the Grand i10 Nios BS6 Diesel just a day back. Of this, you might find a couple of units still left at all dealerships. As of now, there is a Rs 50,000 cash discount from dealer with Rs 15,000 exchange bonus and Rs 5,000 corporate bonus.
A special mention to the Honda Jazz BS4 which is still to receive an upgrade. We are expecting Jazz BS6 to be launched by the end of this month. Most of the Honda dealerships have exhausted its stock, but in case if you can find one, discounts of up to Rs 50,000 are offered on all variants.

The hatchbacks not included in this list have already received the BS6 treatment. Maruti is done with the BS6 hatchback launches along with Ford, Tata Motors, Renault and Toyota. In the case of Renault and Volkswagen, if you get lucky, you might be able to get their diesel cars at high discounts. Both have discontinued diesel engines in the wake of upcoming BS6 norms.
