It is fascinating to witness the iconic SUV in its various avatars in the virtual realm
In this post, we take a look at the evolution of Tata Sumo courtesy of a prominent digital artist. Tata Sumo is a legendary automobile in our market. It has been around since 1994. Over the years, people have used it for all sorts of applications. These range from passenger carrier to luggage hauler and an off-roader in remote corners of the country. In fact, many automobile enthusiasts want to experience the Sumo in a modern avatar. Until that plan materializes, let us glance at it in the digital world.
Digital Evolution of Tata Sumo
This post stems from bimbledesigns on Instagram. To start with, we see the rendition based on the relatively new version of the Sumo. This incorporates rectangular headlamps with a solid bonnet and a rugged bumper, which has a sturdy skid plate. I particularly like the hood scoop and the black windows. On the sides, it gets large alloy wheels with off-roading tyres, a 2-door setup, an upright stance and extended from the rear fenders. The mirrors mounted on the edge of the bonnet bring out that old-school vibe.
Interestingly, then we come across an almost similar SUV in a matte black paint shade. The tiny lights on the edges of the bumper serve as the fog lamps. In the final section of the video, the Tata Sumo shines bright in a red colour theme. All in all, this virtual illustration definitely brings out some sweet memories from the era gone by. However, to experience it in a relatively modern avatar despite the old-school charm is exciting.
My View
I must admit we don’t come across too many iterations of the old vehicles among digital artists. Still, this evolution of the Tata Sumo represents the talent and creativity of our famed artists. Such versions lend the viewers a chance to witness an established car in a completely different avatar. I shall keep an eye out for more similar cases in the times to come.
