A video featuring MS Dhoni providing a ride to a budding cricketer has stirred discussions among netizens. In the video, the young cricketer is seen seated behind Dhoni, who is driving his Yamaha RD350 bike, cruising along the road. The young man, recording a selfie video, also drew attention to the bike emitting smoke, prompting concerns from certain fans. While numerous admirers praised the CSK captain for his humility and approachability, others raised questions about whether Dhoni’s bike underwent pollution checks.

Fans Criticise MS Dhoni for causing air pollution from Yamaha RD350
It’s not an uncommon sight to see Dhoni riding a bike or driving a car on the streets of Ranchi, as the former Indian skipper frequently enjoys rides in his vehicles. Nevertheless, what drew fans’ notice during the recent sighting was the emissions emanating from the cricketer’s Yamaha RD350. This lead to criticism from fans about polluting Ranchi’s roads. Additionally, concerns were raised about the safety of the pillion rider, as he was seen traveling without a helmet.
Some fans came to Dhoni’s defense, noting that the Yamaha RD350 has a two-stroke engine and is known for emitting smoke. However, it’s also possible that there could be a potential engine sealant leak in Dhoni’s RD350. The Indian version of the RD350 faced several issues due to significant cost-cutting measures. Notably, it lacked a CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) system, relying on a Points ignition system, which was often unreliable. Starting problems were common and a major reason for the RD350’s lack of popularity in India. Nowadays, many enthusiasts attempt to retrofit their RD350s with CDI systems, but it appears Dhoni, a devoted RD fan, has kept his bike in its original condition.

MS Dhoni, who is based out of Ranchi, has a massive collection of cars and motorcycles, Some of his prized possessions include many Yamaha RD350 units, Yamaha RX100, Suzuki Shogun, and even bikes from Norton, Jawa, and BSA. Other than his classic motorcycles, Dhoni’s garage also features modern bikes such as the Kawasaki Ninja H2, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R, Harley Davidson Fat Boy, and the rare Confederate X132 Hellcat.
