Hyundai Eon has a very impressive and sporty side profile. The Eon has a very well sculpted design with sporty side contours, rear spoiler adds to the sportiness along with the high mounted tail lamp cluster design.

The rear hatch door of the Eon is very sporty with a rounded rear windshield at an almost perpendicular angle to the ground merging fluidly into the metal parts of the hatch door and the spoiler at the top.

Below is a closer look of the rear section of the Eon. The tail lamps are rising from the top of the rear bumper, in a rounded wraparound side profile and getting sleeker as they touch the rear spoiler. This is a very attractive design element of Eon.

The front side view of the Eon gives you a good look of how the large windshield merges smoothly with the roof and the front bonnet giving it’s a fluid and aerodynamic look. Large windshield also make the cabin feel brighter and larger at the same time improving the visibility for the driver.

The front door glass window area is larger than the rear one and looks quite wee proportionate. Both front and rear window are nearly triangular in shape. The headlamps wrap around the side of the cars to a good depth and makes the front look larger than it actually is. The length of the car ahead of the windshield is not as high as we find in contemporary designs like a Maruti Alto.

There is a look of triangular elements with hexagonal grille which is also like a merger of two triangles sharing the same base. In simple words, the car has got sharp styling with many triangular shapes at places.

If you look closely at the head lamp cluster from front, it give a subtle triangular look with large size making it looks different and elegant.

The fog lamps are also triangular in shape but the corners are rounded. There are few sharp lines and more rounded edges along the exterior design of the Eon.

The steel wheels of the Hyundai Eon are painted in black colour so they are hardly visible and the full wheel caps of good finishing make them look like alloy wheels if you look at it from a distance. Only on observing closely you can see that its actually steel wheels, which is an intelligent thing to keep the cost low and still give it a more premium look.

The Pearl silver colour of the Eon looks very elegant and appealing. This particular colour seemed to attract many onlookers as compared to other colours which were on the display at the same time.

The pristine blue colour is super sporty and looks very vibrant, it should appeal to youth to a big extent. Recently, New Maruti Swift 2011 also came up with Blue colour which makes it looks stand apart form the crowd.

The black and blue combination near the ORVM, and Blue Silver combination near the headlamps and wheel covers make the Blue colour very sporty in its appeal.

Hyundai Eon Interior Images and Review
The quality of plastics, fabrics, and placement is good. The dashboard has a very clean and good look with black and beige elements and with a touch of silver for the higher variants.

The front seats have good back support, side support and under-thigh support. The steering wheel is tilt adjustable, so the seating position and posture can be made more comfortable for longer commuting.

The side AC vents are large, but the airflow does get restricted front the AC vent of the driver side as the steering wheel is in front of the AC vent. This happens in a large number of cars, so not a big issue, the middle AC vents are placed quite aptly for good airflow to the rear seats as well. There is a knob to adjust the angle of the head lamp beam.

The instrument console is simple and elegant with touches of silver on black. There is no tachometer (RPM meter) even in the top end variant. The large dial in the middle is the speedo meter marked till 180 KMPH. Just below that is a digital Odometer and Trip meter. On the right side there is a small fuel gauge dial with trip meter button and on the left side is the temperature gauge for the engine.

The steering wheel comes loaded with an airbag for safety of the driver. The 3 spoke silver black steering wheel does add a very sporty appeal to the Eon.

The central console looks very well designed with integrated Audio controls. There is a 2-DIN audio system with CD/ USB / iPod / Radio and AUX – input with two speakers mounted on the front doors of the Eon. The USB input and Aux input ports are very neatly integrated into the console.
The AC knobs are easy to use and are of good quality. They add to the aesthetic appeal of the console.

The glove box is deep and offers ample space to keep small stuff in it which you need inside the cabin. The design of the under-dashboard space has been very intelligent with more space carved out for the legroom on the front seats, the same as we observe on a Honda Brio.

The gear knob is comfortable placed with smooth cable shift gear arrangement and short through easy to slot gears. The clutch pedal is also quite light which is a plus point for for congested city driving conditions. There is a 12V power socket just below the central console for charging laptops, mobile phones etc. on the go.

The cabin light, roof lining etc. are also of good quality. There is no vanity mirror on any of the sun visors on the Eon.

The front door on driver side has power windows controls for both the front door windows, and arms rest integrated along with a small map pocket at the bottom. The door trims in beige and brown looks very appealing in terms of aesthetics.

The passenger side door on the front has power window control for that side only. There are internally adjustable outside rear view mirrors but the inside rear view mirror is a simple one without no day-night function which is useful for dimming the glared of the headlamps of vehicles behind you during night driving.
image- Hyundai Eon Rear Seat Leg Space
The rear leg space is ample, with the driving seat adjusted for a medium heath 5’7” tall driver, the rear seat offered decent legroom for its segment. However, the shoulder room maybe a problem as the Eon does not feel very wide from inside on the rear seats, so it may not comfortably sit 3 adult passengers at the rear seat.

The rear door trims are also dual tone with silver finish inside door handles, but do not offer map pockets and power window feature even in the top end variant.

There is integrated arm rest for the rear passenger in the door trim.

The rear parcel tray, which is hinged on the inside behind the rear seat offers for a convenience storage space on the inside.

The large boot area of 215 litre is enough for usual commuting luggage needs. The space for the luggage can be increased by dropping the rear seat down to make loads of space.

The inside feel of the Eon is quite well lit and premium in feel.

The engine compartment is also sleek and well packaged so that more length of the car can be used as cabin and boot space.
