Modified cars have come a long way in India. Here’s an example of an outdated modified job by DC Design for the Mercedes S-Class.
Indian car enthusiasts are experiencing more than ever. Recently, we have seen many new cars with great modifications jobs. Indian automotive designers have come a long way from the tackiness masters, DC Design. Dilip Chhabria is known for offering tacky designs that pretty much ruin the aesthetics of a stock car. DC Design is infamous for ruining some of the most famous cars in the country. Now, another example of one such old-school design has surfaced online. This modified Mercedes S-Class looks even worse as it has been abandoned by the owners.

DC is known for wild experiments with cars from all segments. However, some of these projects can easily go south. As you can see above, the modified Mercedes S-Class by DC Design looks atrocious. The abandoned status of the car does not help either. Many modified vehicles feature customized components and spare parts. These can be hard to replace and add up to huge repair costs. In some cases, you might need to import some components. Additionally, the wacky designs get outdated very quickly. Hence, a lot of such cars end up on the streets.
W126 Generation
This Mercedes S-Class comes from the generation of the W126 (launched in the 90s). The modified version looks very different from the original. It features a massive grille on the front, with a distinctly placed projector headlamp. The front bumper gets a wide-body appearance (seen in racing cars). The side fenders also follow the wide-body concept. A silver air duct has been added as well. The sloping roofline meets the boot neatly. The tail section also sports quirky taillamps alongside a huge silver skid plate. Additional changes include white-silver alloy wheels. Overall, the condition looks terrible (inside-out).

The abandoned Mercedes S-Class also highlights the importance of the new scrappage policy. While the government has limited the years of usage for most cars, there is no clear scrappage system in place yet. As a result, Indian roads are filled with old cars and two-wheelers, just rotting away. Some of these are accident hazards and can also house dangerous animals. People should not be able to just leave old cars on the side of the road. It is very important to have a Scrappage Policy to recycle such models and clean our roads. tell us what you think about the DC Modified Mercedes S-Class.
