In a nutshell, the results said that the neck and the head area was offered with some protection but the poor protection of the driver’s chest area was one at the fault. This led to the one star rating.
The child protection was tested by using a 3-year-old and 18-month-old dummy. It was given a low two-star rating as the static reel seatbelt at the back were unable to restrict the child seat movement under the impact.
The test also showed that when the crash strikes, the heads of the 3-year-old and 18-month-old dummy were impacted the most. The entry level hatchback also misses out on the three-point middle seat belt and ISOFIX mount child seats which further lost the points of the safety.
Other safety features on the Datsun RediGO includes rear parking sensors, seat belt warnings, child safety lock, engine immobilizer and high speed alert system. This is the most affordable Datsun cars which are on the list till now.
