A Hero Super Splendor which carried saffron numberplates with ‘Yogi Sevak’ inscribed on them was fined in Varanasi for flouting traffic rules
Everyday, we witness people break the law openly without fear of the rules and regulation. Many tamper with the registration plates of their vehicle even after the police often takes action and fines owners of such vehicles. Recently, a similar incident took place in Varanasi where the traffic police caught and challaned a motorcyclist for having an orange licence plate with ‘Yogi Sevak’ written on it. Interestingly, a sticker below the number plate denotes that this motorcycle might belong to a policeman.

However, many people tamper with their registration and make fun of traffic laws by customising them with caste names and colours, which is prohibited under the traffic laws.
