2022 Mahindra Scorpio Sketch
The front fascia hosts the new Mahindra logo in the middle of the broad front grille, the bonnet is quite sculpted and has characteristic creases on it, the bumper wears a sporty skid plate along with stylish fog lamp housing. The sides are accentuated by chunky wheel arches and alloy wheels, rising window line towards the rear, roof rails and side body cladding signifying off-roading prowess. The rear does remind us of the bigger XUV700 to some extent. The overall design certainly brings a fresh perspective and lets people know that this is a modern SUV with a sporty silhouette. The spied images that we have seen until now also reveal something like this.

Specs
Speaking of the engines, the Scorpio comes with a 2.2-litre diesel engine that makes 140 hp and 320 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. This engine comes mated to a sole 6-speed manual transmission. The higher trims also get a 4×4 drive system. It will feature Mahindra’s 1.2-litre direct injection turbo petrol engine that will make 150 hp. There might also be the convenience of an automatic transmission with the upcoming SUV. There are no direct rivals to the Scorpio but being positioned in the mid-size SUV space, one could think of the Creta and Seltos as the rivals although the purpose of these SUVs is completely different.
