The Indian government has announced new rules for private CNG cars. The new changes have been made to stage 6 CNG vehicles. Apparently, there has been an increase in accidents related to CNG vehicles. Now, the new vehicles with CNG kits will have to be tested for accident situations. Additionally, the CNG cars will have an expiry date, after which they will need to be tested again. The new rules have also been made to deter foreign retrofit companies.
