The French carmaker has announced that the bookings for its premium SUV have begun. The C5 Aircross was unveiled earlier last month and sits in a luxury 5-seater SUV segment of its own. Citroen, of course, had planned to launch the C5 Aircross last year but had to delay the launch due to the pandemic. Now, the plans are back on track and Citroen has officially entered our competitive market. Citroen has already mentioned that the C5 Aircross is not a volume-oriented product. It will only do the job of establishing the values and image of the brand in our country. Therefore, the C5 Aircross will host a ton of safety, convenience and technology features along with unique styling elements. This is done in order to get the Indian customers used to the kind of brand that Citroen is. Thereafter, hopefully, by the end of this year, we might also see the launch of the compact SUV from Citroen. That will be the volume-oriented product and will feature competitive pricing and huge localization.
