Citroen has been operating in India for a couple of years now but it just offers SUVs in various segments.
This Citroen C3-based sedan could prove to be a worthy rival to the mega-popular Maruti Dzire in our market. The French carmaker currently offers only SUVs in India. These include the C5 Aircross premium SUV, C3 compact SUV, e- C3 electric SUV and the C3 Aircross. The latter rivals the Hyundai Creta in the mid-size SUV segment. Next, though, Citroen plans to bring in the C3X, a crossover sedan to rival the likes of Honda City. While we’ve already reported in detail about the upcoming offering, here’s a rendering that visualises a smaller sedan derivative that could rival the Maruti Dzire.

This digital rendition comes from SRK Designs on YouTube. This channel features content around the unique and captivating illustrations of popular cars. This time around, the digital artist has come up with a compact sedan that is inspired by the C3 compact SUV. The influence is evident from the front fascia even though it is not entirely visible. There are sleek LED DRLs on the bonnet and the main headlamps on the bumper with trademark square elements at the front and on the side body cladding. The A and B pillars are black.

However, the rear section is where things get interesting. The boot compartment has been extended out to complete the sedan body type silhouette. There are split-LED taillamps which bear the wraparound pattern. The wheel arches are quite pronounced with black cladding running across the side profile. The alloy wheels are elegant and the shark fin antenna completes the rear section. There is also a sloping roof line indicating a more coupe-like design instead of the traditional sedan shape. All in all, this could prove to be a competent rival to the mighty Maruti Dzire if the French carmaker ever decides to put this into production.
