Citroen has launched the Dark Edition versions of its popular SUVs – C3, Aircross and Basalt. In the last few years, we have seen customers wanting the sporty and de-chromed iterations of cars. That is where the Dark Edition moniker comes in. In fact, many car makers offer such versions of their existing cars under various names. Mostly, there are no additional features or design alterations with such models. Still, the customized aesthetics is something consumers appreciate.
Citroen C3, Aircross and Basalt Get Dark Edition Trims
The Dark Edition variants of the Citroen C3, Aircross and Basalt are based on their respective top trims. Interested buyers will need to shell out a reasonable premium of Rs 19,500 over the standard trim. Being the brand ambassador, legendary cricketer MS Dhoni unveiled the Dark Edition Basalt and took delivery of the 1st Basalt Dark Edition. These SUVs bear a Perla Nera Black body colour along with dark chrome accents on the Chevron badge, front grille and side body cladding. Furthermore, the black treatment is visible on the bumpers and door handles.
Note that the Dark Edition elements are not just restricted to the outside. The cabin also incorporates black components, including Metropolitan Black leatherette seats, and a custom leatherette-wrapped instrument panel, the Carbon Black Interiors are further enhanced by a Lava Red Detailing, high-gloss black finishes on key touchpoints, custom seat covers, dark chrome mouldings, a grille embellishment and much more.
