The Citroen Basalt boasts the title of being the first mass-market coupe SUV in India
The Citroen Basalt facelift has been imagined in this latest detailed rendering by a prominent digital artist. Basalt is a coupe SUV which marked a new trend in our market. Thereafter, we had the Tata Curvv join the party. In fact, going forward, Mahindra is launching a couple of electric coupe SUVs called the XEV 9e and BE 6e. Hence, people now possess the opportunity to experience this unique body type without having to spend a fortune. Remember, this appearance was restricted to high-end luxury cars until now.
Citroen Basalt Facelift Rendering
These impressive illustrations come to us courtesy of mentirasautomotivas on Instagram. The artist has performed a commendable job to create this avatar. I must say that the overall demeanour is quite appealing. At the front, it gets rectangular LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, a broad grille section with matte black cladding and the Citroen logo. I particularly love the lower section which contains a rugged skid plate section with fog lamps on the extreme edges. In fact, there are vertical elements on the sides as well.
Moving down the sides reveals a sporty stance with massive wheel arches and matte black claddings. These encapsulate elegant alloy wheels which enhance the overall appeal of the side profile. However, the biggest talking point has to be the sloping roofline. That defines the vehicle’s unique silhouette. Even the black side pillars add to the charm. Finally, the tail end consists of a shark fin antenna, an integrated spoiler on the boot lid, C-shaped LED taillamps, a sturdy skid plate on the solid bumper and a carbon fiber finish on the boot lid. Even the interior has been showcased but it is more in line with what we see in the existing model. All in all, this looks like a perfect rendering for the Citroen Basalt facelift.
