China Throwing Away Electric Cars and Bikes
This video has been uploaded by serpentza on YouTube. It captures a unique case study to unearth what is going on in China with regard to EVs. As per the information in the video, there are entire fields of electric cars that are rotting. These are new cars with registration plates. Most of these are as new as 2021 models. A documentary maker recorded this shocking footage. One could see hundreds of thousands of electric cars just ditched in the fields. The reason is quite simple. China wants to show that the number of EVs being sold in the country is increasing exponentially. Just to increase the EV sales numbers, companies register them and then throw them away to rot.

This is done in order to show the world that they are environmentally conscious and are transforming to electric cars better than the rivals like Tesla. This is extremely perilous for the environment. In addition to not being transparent with the real sales figures, letting these EVs rot in fields will have a negative impact on vehicular pollution. The batteries these cars have will degrade and cause land pollution due to all the chemicals in them. Also, there is a lot of pollution already caused by manufacturing the EVs which will multiply quickly since these are not being used and are just rotting away. Therefore, it is time we start paying attention to these things and always cross-check when stats arrive from China.

We have seen how many Chinese electric cars and bikes companies have cropped up, particularly in the last few years. While we are not questioning their integrity, we must be aware of what is happening there. At the end of the day, it is about the narrative and profits. Most people and conglomerates are not interested in saving the environment. They just want to increase their profits and revenues. Hence, we should be able to see through the smoke screen, especially since we have so much information available on the internet.
