As far as the D-segment is concerned we have a lot of options and every sedan from the very segment has its own attributes which allure people. When it comes to brutal and aggressive looking cars we have Chevrolet Cruze as the best one out there and it has started picking sales now which earlier were quite less.
Ever since the car was launched no changes has been brought to it but finally General Motors has considered doing a little bit of makeover of it so that it can lure more and more customers.
The makeover will include changes on the interiors, exteriors as well as under the hood. The current model has got so much inside including a contemporary dashboard with extremely elegant layout but it lacks one of the most essential features a D segment car should possess, the space. Many buyers do prefer space and comfort over several other things and Cruze’s do suffer due to the legroom problem.
The new Cruze facelift has been worked upon very thoroughly by GM solely for improving the headroom and legroom available to the rear passengers. On the exteriors slightest of the changes have been made giving more appeal to the car with no major change.
Under the bonnet a new Z-Series 2.0 Liter engine, compliant with Euro 5 norms will be installed which can churn out a maximum power of 163 BHP along with peak torque of 360 Nm. The same helps the car sprint from 0 to 100 KMPH in exact 8.5 seconds. The new engine has a square layout which will impart a lot of responsiveness and with a cam belt installed inside, the maintenance will also be reduced.
All in all the new Cruze will be roomier, more powerful, will have more torque and a bit more aggressive. The car is expected to hit the showrooms before the end of 2011 and desperately are awaiting it.
